Olivia Nellis & I performed in our first independent (unaffiliated to university) showcase as duet partners in 2018 - Bridge for Dance's Uptown Rising Performance Series - Emerging Choreographer's Edition.
It was our first performance as independent artists in the "professional field," in a classic upstairs, small NYC studio space. The event was fantastic and I would recommend it to peers trying to get their work out there.
"second-hand" was the first duet we made together and it remains one of my favorite pieces to show off.
After the performance, we participated in a Q&A/feedback panel, where an audience member told us, it "...looked like you two came out of the womb dancing together."
